Jane Weeks Cassidy Byo ('78 M Ed) earned her PhD in Music Education from Florida State University. She is Professor and Chair of Music Education at Louisiana State University.

Elaine Baker ('78) has a private teaching studio in Plymouth, MA.

Debbie Lowenthall Abraham ('79) plays principal flute with the Farmington Valley Symphony in CT and has a private teaching studio.

Jill Jenkins ('79)

Holly Oswald Clemans ('79) is professor of flute at Concordia University in Ann Arbor, MI. She performs with the Plymouth Symphony and the Mosaic Chamber Ensemble and has a private teaching studio.

Ali Ryerson ('79) has an international career as a jazz flutist.

Sue Tompkins Baldwin ('79 M M Ed) is Band Director at the Learning Corridor's Hartford Magnet Middle School.

Linda Wadsworth ('79) has a private teaching studio in MN.

Janet Arms ('80 M Ed) did her graduate work at Juilliard (Samuel Baron) and was a member of the San Francisco Ballet until she was appointed to the New York City Opera. She is now on the faculty at Hartt.

Sue Armstrong ('81 M M Ed)

Barbara Hopkins ('81) received her MM from Mannes College (Thomas Nyfenger) and her DMA from SUNY (Samuel Baron). She is a member of the Hartford Symphony and teaches at the University of Connecticut.

Ann Ward Cucia ('81 M Ed) is on the staff of the Breakthrough Magnet School in Hartford.

Susan Gowen ('81 MM)

Susan Wittkowski Kroeker ('81 MM) is the Personnel Manager of the Pennsylvania Central Chamber Orchestra and performs as second flutist. She is also conctractor and performer with Community Chamber Artists in State College, PA. She teaches private lessons and conducts a homeschool orchestra. She has acted as principal flutist with the So. Dakota Symphony and performed with the Harrisburg and Altoona Symphonies.

Suzanne Pasquini Cristina. ('83 flute and chemistry) is a Reasearch Analyst at United Technologies and performs with the Torrington Symphony.

Anne Janson ('83) has been teaching flute at Middlebury College since 1984. She also is on the music faculty at the University of Vermont. She is a member of the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, the Vermont Mozart Festival Orchestra, and Quintette a Vent, a woodwind ensemble which has performed throughout Vermont and in New York State. Formerly the principal flute of the Plattsburgh Symphony Orchestra, she has played with Opera North and the Vermont Contemporary Ensemble and regularly plays with the Lyric Theatre Orchestra.

Patricia Lazzara Davila ('83) freelances in the New York metropolitan area. She is a founding member of UpTown Flutes, a nonet in residence at Drew University, and a 2002 winner of the Artists International competition. She is principal Flute of the North Jersey Philharmonic and has a busy concert and gig schedule, in addition to a private flute studio.

Patty Leppert ('83) received her MM from SUNY (Samuel Baron).

Asako Arai ('84) received her MM and DMA from SUNY (Samuel Baron) and freelances in Mexico City. She is a member of the Mexico City Woodwind Quintet with which she has made several recordings.

Sheri Jacobson MM ('84) teaches at Whitworth College and Gonzaga University in WA.

Anna Crambert Klune ('84 - deceased) was President of the Farmington Valley Symphony.

Mark Vickers ('85 M M Ed) teaches in Cromwell, CT and plays with the Conn Valley Chamber Orchestra.

Lisa Alvarez ('86) played with the South Carolina Symphony.

Sharilynn Finnegan Horhota ('86) did graduate work at the Sibelius Academy, Finland then received a BS in engineering from University of Minnesota. She works as an accoustical engineer.

Jennifer Scott Miceli ('86) received her MM and DMA in Education from Eastman.

Kathy Weidenfeller ('86) did graduate work at the Sibelius Academy, Finland. She teaches and performs in Lahti, Finland and serves on the board of the Finnish Flute Association.

Susan Torke ('87) did graduate work at the Royal Academy (William Bennett) and freelances in London. She is currently on the faculty of the Royal Acadamy of Music.

Monica Corton ('88) is Senior Executive Vice President of Creative Affairs and Licensing for Next Decade Entertainment, Inc. in New York City.

Anne Majka ('90)

Rosanne Swire Santucci ('90) received her MM from Yale University (Thomas Nyfenger/Ransom Wilson) and freelances in the Boston area.

Marge Bollinger ('90 MM) was the office manager for the Wm. S. Haynes Co. in Boston.She currently teaches in Nashua, NH and plays with the Merrimac Valley Philharmonic.

Angela Griffin('90 MM) is the director of the Simsbury Public Schools Music and Performing Arts

Sue Beebe Cangro ('91 MM) taught in the Hartt Community Division until relocating to IL where she teaches at Western Illinois University.

Sara Barash Berger ('91) received her MM from Indiana University and is the Director of Instrumental Music and Band at the Woodrow Wilson Elementary School in Elizabeth, New Jersey. In addition, she is on the faculty of the Suburban Community Music Center, plays with Flutique (a flute trio) and subs with the New Jersey Symphony.

Tomoko Igarashi ('91 MM) works for the Softwood Export Council of Portland, OR at its Tokyo office.

Kim DeLuccio Collins ('92) won a one year position as Second Flute with the Springfield (MA) Symphony. She plays principal with the Waterbury Symphony and works with the Albany, New Haven, Springfield, and Vermont Symphonies. She teaches flute at Southern Connecticut State University. She maintains a private studio at home, and organizes and conducts a flute choir for adults and advanced students. She plays with touring broadway shows at the Bushnell in Hartford and the Shubert theater in New Haven. She is a founding member of Harmonia V woodwind quintet.

Meg Suzuki Hudson ('92) received her MM from San Francisco Conservatory (Tim Day). After winning a place in the Greenville, SC Symphony she decided to go to the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts. After graduation she became a Test Cook at Cook's Illustrated magazine. She now lives in San Jose, CA where she is a member of a taiko ensemble.

Margo Askin ('93 MM) teaches in Christchurch, NZ where she plays associate principal in the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra.

Diana Charos ('93) earned her MM at Rutgers University and has a private teaching studio in NJ. She is a faculty member of Westminster Choir College.

Alison Mossey Ponzi ('95) received her MM from East Carolina University in 1997. She now plays in three regional orchestras in North Carolina and teaches at the Music Academy of East Carolina.

Elisa Seddon ('95 flute and chemistry) obtained her PhD in chemistry from Indiana University. She is working in Chemical Synthesis at The Lubrizol Corporation as a research chemist.

Betsy Garry Mazziott ('97) received her MM from Peabody (Emily Skala) and teaches and freelances in the Baltimore area.

Holly Hughes Stone ('98 MM) is an adjunct flute professor at Cumberland University. She freelances in the Nashville area.

Jenn Kuk Bonora ('98 MM) was awarded a DMA from the University of Nevada, while also functioning as a part-time professor. She has been President of the Las Vegas Flute Club and Local Chair of the National Flute Association Convention, 2003. She subs as Principal Flute with the Henderson Symphony.

Alicia DiDonato Paulsen ('98) 20/20 at Hartt, was a member of the New World Symphony for three years (winning the 2000 concerto competition) and has now completed her MM at New England Conservatory (Fenwick Smith) where she won the concerto competition. She is a regular second flute and piccolo sub for the Boston Symphony, Boston Pops, and Boston Lyric Opera. In 2005 she won the Mid-South Young Artist Competition. In 2006 she placed third in the NFA's Young Artist Competition. In 2008 she assumed the second flute position in the Porrtland Symphony in Oregon.

Leslie Minnick ('98 flute and M Ed) teaches in the Hartford area.

Amy Dankowski Pawlowski ('99 MM) received her Master's in Library and Information Science from Kent State. She is currently Technology & Information Literacy Librarian at Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland Ohio. She performs with the Vannevar Trio, a group she formed with a violinist and cellist and is the librarian for a new ensemble, Red {an orchestra}.

Abby McGough ('99) teaches flute, music theory and chamber music at the Pittsburgh Music Academy, a Suzuki based school. She also teaches at Musik Innovations, a store north of Pittsburgh, the Holy Family Institute, and a Montessori school.

Christine Deschler Brimhall ('01 flute and M Ed) was a member of 20/20 at Hartt and received her MM from Yale (Ransom Wilson). She was Director of Instrumental Music/Coordinator of the Young Musicians Program at The Country School in Madison, CT. She also freelanced in the Connecticut area with the Waterbury, Wallingford and Bridgeport Symphonies, before relocating to the Washington, DC area.

Julie Averill ('01 flute and M Ed) was a member of 20/20 at Hartt and received her MM from the Manhattan School of Music (Robert Langevin). She is administrative assistant for the New York Youth Symphony while teaching flute privately.

Joy Zalkind('01) received her MM from University of New Mexico (Valerie Potter) and is Third Flute/Piccolo with the El Paso Symphony and 2nd flute with the El Paso Opera. In 2005 she was accepted into Jeanne Baxtresser's Advanced Flute Studies Certificate Program at Carnegie Mellon.

Kaitlin Earley ('01 MM) was Head of Circulation at Hartt's Allen Memorial Library and then attended the Florida School of Traditional Midwifery.

Alice Park ('01 GPD) has completed service in the 214th Army Ground Forces Band in Atlanta, GA.

Sarah Caissie Provost ('02) did graduate work at Brandeis University.

Lisa Conley ('03) freelances and teaches in the Boston area.

Johanna Borenstein, ('03) received her MM from San Francisco Conservatory (Tim Day). She now freelances in Los Angeles.

Jessi Rosinski
('03) was a member of 20/20 at Hartt. After freelancing in the Hartford area and teaching in the Hartt Community Division, the UConn Community School of the Arts, and the Nutmeg Conservatory, Jessi received her Masters degree at NEC (Fenwick Smith) and an MBA from Babson College. In 2005 she took second prize in the Pappoutsakas Competition, third prize in the NYFC Competition, second prize in the Albert Cooper Competition, and was chosen to perform in the NFA convention masterclass. She is currently freelancing and administering in Boston.

Jeremy Brimhall ('04) was a member of 20/20 at Hartt. Following graduation he won the assistant principal flute position in the State of Mexico Symphony Orchestra in Toluca.

Lauren Gallo ('04 flute and theory) is pursuing her Master's Degree in Music Education with a conducting emphasis at Hartt.

Emily Higgins ('04) after freelancing in North Carolina she has relocated to Portland OR.

Kristen Komisky ('04 flute and M Ed) has been appointed to create a music department at the Lake Wales, Florida magnet school.

Avi Greenberg ('05 flute and M Ed) began graduate work at the Musikhochschule in Mannheim, Germany in the fall of '06.

Megan Sweeney ('05 flute and M Ed) leads the middle school band at the Plainfield Central School in CT and teaches flute at the Nutmeg Conservatory.

Ashley Crawford ('05 M Ed) is the Band Director at Montville High School, CT.

Molly McLaughlin ('06) was a member of 20/20 at Hartt and won the 2005 Grand Prize in the Van Rooy Competition for Musical Excellence. In the fall of 2006 she toured with Jethro Tull. She freelances, plays Irish flute, and teaches yoga in Kansas City.
